Stefan Sagmeister an Austrian contemporary designer, who started his design career with an interest in creating visual experiences for audio artist (musicians).  He has spoken at TED about the need for a sabbatical, and how it can produce much more then a time to catch up on sleep. He runs Sameister inc. a New York based design studio, and also teaches graduate school at the School of Visual Arts.  His ability to show his process of creation is a constant value in his work, even if it is not apparent to the viewer.  His "typographic sculptures" seem to be one of the many enjoyable aspects of his calling.
